CROWD MANAGEMENT, PASSENGER SAFETY AND SAFETY TRAINING FOR PERSONNEL PROVIDING DIRECT SERVICES TO PASSENGERS IN PASSENGER SPACES

AIMS:  

The course aims to provide comprehensive training in crowd management, passenger safety, and safety training for personnel providing direct services to passengers in passenger spaces, ensuring compliance with Regulation V/2, Section A-V/2, Paragraph 3, and Table A-V/2-1 of the STCW'78 Convention, as amended, and the IMO Model Course 1.28. The training will enhance the safety and efficiency of operations on passenger ships, particularly in emergency situations. 

Objectives: 

• Equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to manage crowds and ensure passenger safety in both normal and emergency situations. 

• Familiarize participants with the design and operational limitations of passenger ships. 

• Train personnel on the procedures for opening, closing, and securing hull openings.  

• Educate participants on legislation, codes, and agreements affecting ro-ro passenger ships. 

• Ensure personnel understand the stability and stress requirements and limitations of passenger ships. 

• Provide training on the maintenance of special equipment, loading and cargo securing manuals, and calculators. 

• Enhance communication skills and knowledge of life-saving appliances among personnel providing direct services to passengers.
