AIMS:

To provide participants with the knowledge and practical understanding required to safely operate, maintain, troubleshoot, inspect, and optimise the FRAMO Cargo Pumping System, ensuring maximum cargo handling efficiency, improved equipment reliability, reduced downtime, and compliance with industry best practices.

OBJECTIVES:

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:

1. Understand the design, components, and operating principles of the FRAMO Cargo Pumping System.
2. Explain the fundamentals of hydraulic systems used in FRAMO cargo pumps.
3. Operate the FRAMO cargo pumping system safely during loading, discharging, stripping, and tank cleaning.
4. Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and condition monitoring of FRAMO equipment.
5. Identify common system faults and carry out effective troubleshooting procedures.
6. Understand hydraulic oil cleanliness requirements, filtration methods, and contamination control.
7. Carry out pump purging procedures and interpret purging results correctly.
8. Evaluate pump performance and recognize wear of impellers, wear rings, bearings, and other critical components.
9. Understand emergency operating procedures and the safe use of portable cargo pumps.
10. Plan spare parts management and maintenance schedules to maximize equipment reliability.
11. Apply safe working practices and environmental protection measures during cargo operations.
12. Improve operational efficiency while minimizing downtime and maintenance costs through correct operation and timely maintenance.
