Aims:

The Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS) Course is designed to enhance workplace safety by:

  • Understanding human behaviour in safety practices
  • Identifying and mitigating risks
  • Implementing proactive safety measures
  • Fostering a strong safety culture to reduce incidents

 Objectives:

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  1. Define Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS) and its workplace significance.
  2. Identify the causes of unsafe behaviour and distinguish between behaviour and attitude.
  3. Address common safety myths and challenges in workplace safety programs.
  4. Apply the ABC Model of Behaviour Change to safety practices.
  5. Analyze risk and accident potential using the Incident Triangle.
  6. Develop and implement a structured BBS program with clear roles and responsibilities.
  7. Utilize observation and feedback techniques to reinforce safe behaviours.
  8. Enhance safety engagement across all levels of an organization.
