
AIMS:
The Onboard Assessor and Assessment Course equip participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills to conduct effective on-board assessments. Based on the guidelines of IMO Model Courses 1.30 and 3.12, it focuses on ensuring safety, compliance, and operational excellence through structured evaluation of crew performance during real-time shipboard operations.
It also prepares participants for inspections under the SIRE 2.0 regime, focusing on inspection procedures, expectations from ship and shore personnel, and mastering the new questioning techniques used during assessments.
